A note from the PTA

The PTA needs your help!!!!
We could still use a few more donations for our conference dinner tonight.  We would love to provide a feast for our teachers if you have time to make/bake/buy anything that would be amazing.  We are hoping to make this long day a little easier with a full stomach.  Please have all items either outside the office/ or food items can be put in the teachers lounge by 3pm.  Check out the sign up genius and let us know what you can bring.

Winter Clothing and Outdoors

Looks like winter has come early!

Please note that we do still go outdoors for recess and there is still outdoor line-up as long as the outside temperature is about 20 degrees (windchill).

If your student wears snow boots to school they must pack indoor shoes for inside school.  This will help keep our classroom floor clean and dry.  You also need to keep in mind that they still need gym shoes on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Snow pants are another item needed for play on the playground and back field (when there is enough snow).

HOMEWORK THIS WEEK!  Work with your student on zipping coats and putting on winter clothes independently!

Thanks for your help!

  • Halloween

We will celebrate Halloween at school on Wednesday, October 31st.

There is a school-wide costume parade for Kindergarten and Young Fives.  Parents are more than welcome to attend.  It will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Usually parents stand in the hallways to watch near the office.

Students should wear their costume to school.  We will participate in the parade and then the students can wear them for our classroom party (10:00-10:45).  We will take our costumes off right before we go to lunch.

MAKE SURE TO WEAR CLOTHES UNDERNEATH THE COSTUME OR PACK CLOTHES TO WEAR FOR THE AFTERNOON.

Please make sure your student’s costume is appropriate, fits comfortably and isn’t too warm…..we’ll be inside.  Please no play weapons that may go with your student’s costume.

There is still time to volunteer at our party.  Please email me if you can!
