Hello Y5 Families,

I’m not sure if you had the opportunity to read the new learning plan posted by the Superintendent. There will be a few changes for our class.

All assignments will be made in the Kindergarten Google classroom in the Young 5’s folder. (Click on “classwork” at the top of the page once in the google classroom. Then scroll down toward the middle of the page to find the Young 5’s folder.)

Students are only required to complete the assignments in the Young 5’s folder. If you feel you need more work you can try the Kindergarten activities once the Young 5 activities are completed.

If you don’t have a printer, feel free to use scratch paper or discuss the concept in some other way with materials you may have at home. Feel free to attach pictures of the work or just click “turn in.”

Just remember to click “turn in” because students are going to be graded by showing effort in continuing their learning for the 4th card marking period in google classroom. “Turn in” is how I will track effort.

Please don’t be overwhelmed. I tried to post the entire weeks assignments so you can work at your own pace and do what works for your family. KG students are required to do about 50 minutes daily of academic work.

I tried to post enough work so that daily there is sight word practice, reading practice (IXL and Razz Kids), writing practice, math practice and social studies or science practice.

Kindergarten has decided to leave Fridays open for catch up days, family enrichment or time for gym, art and music classes.
