What We Did This Week

It was a pleasure meeting everyone at Open House! Thank you for attending.

We continue to build our stamina to full days of school. Reviewing daily school rules and routines.

We visited art, gym and music.

ELA (English Language Arts):

We focused on letters Rr and Bb this week in addition to introducing rhyming words and initial sounds.

We also learned what to do during “Read to Self” (a component of our literacy program).

Writing:

We are responding to narratives read in class with our “writing” (drawing). We are working on how to draw detailed pictures.

Math:

Math lessons included counting on, the concept of zero, working with numbers 0-5, and attributes of two related objects.

Science:

We continue to talk about what a scientist is and what they do (observe, record, experiment, etc.)

Social Studies:

We are working on getting along with others.  Recognizing emotions and using our words.

The students enjoyed interacting with each other during Free Choice time.

Have a great week!
