Dear Families,
The Lindbergh Craft Boutique will be held on Saturday, November 14th. It is a wonderful annual event that we look forward to each year. One of the responsibilities of each classroom is to create a theme for a gift basket. The basket will be raffled off at the boutique and proceeds from the sales of the baskets will be given back to Mrs. Ruselink’s class. The basket is based upon donations received from the students in our class. The basket theme for our class is the Detroit Tigers. A Lindbergh parent has already donated four Tiger tickets to our basket and we would like to add to the basket with other fun Tiger items.
In order to make our basket a success, I am asking for a $10.00 monetary donation from each family. Please send the money in with your child by Friday, October 9th with their name on the attached envelope and give to Mrs. Ruselink. Other ways to help out would be to be on the lookout for Tiger items that have gone on Clearance that can be purchased and donated for our basket (please keep receipts in case items are duplicates). Also, if you have any connections that would bring in a big ticket item such as a signed jersey or baseball etc. please let myself or Mrs. Ruselink know. These larger items can be taken as a tax write off for the company donating.
Thank you in advance for your support in making OUR basket the one that will sell the most raffle tickets! If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Debbie Bowman (Levi’s Mom) 313-565-9643/popazan@yahoo.com

A note from Mrs. DeNeen,
Dear Parents,
We need your help to complete a survey about what your children are talking about at home for The Leader in Me. This is a requirement for the generous grant we received. Answer honestly. We know that many may not have talked about it much at home yet but as we begin our journey we hope to see an increase in these discussions! We thank you in advance for taking the time to fill this out. Just click on the link below:
https://theleaderinmeonline.
Don’t forget to return library books tomorrow. We will be visiting the library tomorrow for book check out.
Thanks!
Reading Logs
Reading logs are being sent home today in your child’s red folder. Read at least 15 nights during the month of October and earn a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut, through the “Book It” program.
Boo Grams
This is a fundraiser to support our PBIS (positive behavior) program. They are also coming home in your child’s red folder. They cost 1.00 each.
Haunted School
Haunted School is just around the corner. This is another “huge” fundraiser for Lindbergh School. Click on the link below to volunteer!

Lindbergh’s Holiday Boutique
Lindbergh’s largest fundraiser is the Holiday Boutique that happens in November. At the event there is a basket raffle. Each classroom is to assemble a themed basket. Our class chose to create a basket based on Detroit Sports Teams.
We will be asking for monetary or merchandise donations for our basket soon.
It helps to have a “big ticket” item donation (for example, one parent has offered to donate Tiger Tickets!). Please let me know if you can help or have any “special connections” in regards to the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Red Wings or Pistons (it doesn’t have to be tickets – maybe you have another “big” item you would be willing to donate). We are trying to decide wither to focus on one team- or all of the teams!
The best part is that all of the money that is raised from the basket raffle is given to the teachers to spend on their classroom!
What We Did This Week
