Thank you for your patience this week.  I know that the behavior reports have not been coming home and some have forgotten folders/lunchboxes.  The students have been with a substitute teacher the last two afternoons as I have been dealing with a hurt knee.

What We Did This Week

  • Much of the classroom time this week was used for gathering data on the students and for report card assessment.  We will discuss this at parent/teacher conferences.
  • Our Alpha Friend this week was “Vinney Volcanoe”, Letter Vv
  • In math we continue to work on writing our numerals and we have been discussing how to sort.  We have also introduced the names of coins (penny, nickel, dime and quarter).
  • We worked in our poem books.
  • We wrote stories in our Writer’s Workshop books.
