Hello Parents,
I hope all our families have power restored at your homes! It has been a very eventful week for all of us at Henry Ford. We are happy to be back in our classrooms with power.

Since last week was short the PTA is having the book fair for Monday and Tuesday of this week. If your child did not get a chance to buy a book they can bring in money on Tuesday.

This Friday is St. Patrick’s Day. Students can wear green on that day!

Thanks,
Mrs. Baydoun
Mrs. Locke

We will be visiting the book fair this Tuesday, March 7th. If your child would like to buy a book and they did not have their money on Tuesday, they can go on Friday.

Please make sure to sign and return the Homework Policy sheet and return to school this week.

Hello Parents,

This week we will be celebrating both Valentine’s Day on Tuesday 14th, and our 100th day of school on Friday the 17th. Just a reminder we will be having a small celebration on Tuesday, if you would like to send in Valentine’s cards or a special treat we have 24 students in our class. We will be sending home a note this week about a 100th day project that we will have students complete at home to bring to share on Friday.

We will also be sending a note home for our How to writing project on Friday for your child to complete during Winter break.

Reminder there will be no school February 20-24th.

Thank you,

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Hello Parents,

Hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break. We are getting back into our routine this week after a long break. We will be doing narrative writing this month, as well as continuing on in math finishing our unit.

We will be sending home a math unit review and will giving them a math assessment this Wednesday.

We are running long on tissues and hand soap if you would like to donate any of these items to our classroom.

Thank you,

Mrs. Baydoun
Mrs. Locke

Please remember to make sure your child is wearing a winter coat to school daily. The weather is becoming cold as we enter December. We are still going outside for morning line up and for lunch recess.

Happy Monday!

We will not be having a new spelling list this week due to a our short week. We will be reviewing the spelling patterns that we have been learning as well as some thanksgiving words.

We have school Monday and Tuesday this week. Please enjoy your time off with your family and please remember to have them practice reading at home during the break.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Mrs. Baydoun

Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Read the rest of this entry
