Progress Report Delayed; Other Updates

Progress Reports

I was unable to complete the progress reports today and have another day full of teacher obligations tomorrow through the end of the week, so instead of struggling to get them done by Friday and then sending them out again next Monday, I have decided to wait to send out the next progress report until next Monday with a full update of your child’s overall grade.

You likely already know how your child is doing, anyone completing at least 80% of the work has an excellent grade. If you have fallen behind or needed to skip one or two assignments, you have nothing to worry about. If you are very concerned about how your child is doing, you may email me and I will give you a quick update when I have time available this week.

Student Property Pickup/Desk Clean Out

This week I will be up at school bagging up students supplies and packing up the classroom for the year (This is part of why I am so unusually busy this week.)

Next week parents will be asked to come pick up their child’s items according to a schedule (to be announced later this week). This will be a NO CONTACT set up. You will be asked to remain in your car and simply pop the trunk, and a staff member will place the items inside. I will provide more detailed instructions after the schedule is completed.

End of the Year Thoughts

Thank you for your support as I juggle end of the year tasks. While students are winding down and completing their remaining work at home, I’ll be attending meetings and packing up the classroom without my little helpers! It’s very strange to be ending the year without the happy celebrations of the field day, class parties and popsicles on the playground, but I am glad my little buddies are staying safe at home.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything, I will do my best to continue to reply to emails promptly.

Preschool, Young 5’s and Kindergarten Registration

Dear Parents,

River Oaks is currently registering students for the 2020-2021 school year for pre-school, kindergarten and young 5’s.  We need your help and getting this information out to all parents.  Please let me know the names of anyone that will be starting school next school year at River Oaks.

Thank you!

FaceTime Calls

You may request a FaceTime call for your child at anytime by emailing me! I can call to check in, provide specific feedback, or just to talk.

After I have scheduled your call, I will add it to the class calendar page which you can check at any time.
