We know that missing school isn’t easy for your kids—or for you. But we also know that there are simple ways to turn unexpected time at home into exciting opportunities for your students to learn, think, and grow.
Scholastic’s Learn at Home website is a free resource that provides your children with 20 days of exciting articles and stories, videos, and fun learning challenges. Children can complete them anytime, in any order. They can work on their own or together with you and your family.

The active learning journeys are available on any device and will provide your child with up to three hours’ worth of exciting learning experiences per day. They can go on virtual field trips, meet best-selling authors, or dig deep into a topic they love.
Chromebooks for Families in Need
To support at home learning during school closure, we will be loaning out Chromebook laptops for families in need. Chromebooks need to be connected to Wifi in order to work. Families will be responsible for any damages. We will be handing out Chromebooks tomorrow, March 19 at 9:00 am to River Oaks families in need. This will be done in a drive through fashion, we will come out to your car and have you sign for the Chromebook being loaned out.
GoNoodle
GoNoodle is an amazing resource that many of our students are familiar with. They love GoNoodle in the classroom, and now they can use GoNoodle at home! Check out this resource to help get good energy at home. https://www.gonoodle.com/good-energy-at-home-kids-games-and-videos/

Read together!
It is important that children build a love for reading. You are never too old to listen to a good book. Have someone read to you at home or read to someone else. Also, check out Storyline Online. https://www.storylineonline.net/
