More Lotto

We are at it again!  Learning our words and playing Lotto (which is our version of Bingo).

Reading Games

Ms. Kemian’s students are playing the game Lotto for the first time!  It’s just like Bingo, but we play with our sight words!

Working on Words

Check out 2 of our student working on picture sorts!  They are clapping and counting the syllables!  Does my word have 1, 2 or 3 syllables?

We are reading!

The Kindergarteners are so excited to be reading!  You should have noticed their book bags coming home in their backpacks.

Here are a few reminders about the book bags…

  1.  No food, drinks or smoking around the books and bags.  These are shared books and many students need to use them so they need to always be in “like-new” condition.
  2. Books and bags must be brought to school EVERY DAY!  No book bag = No new books sent home
  3. Damaged or lost books and bags must be replaced.  Books cost an average of $5 each and bags are $7-10 each.  Please keep these in a safe place at all times.
  4. Word and letter cards inside the bags should also be practiced every evening at home
  5. Have fun letting your child show you what they’ve learning in class!

Please contact me if you have any questions!

Kindergarten Writing

Our Kindergarten kids have been working hard on learning to use lots of resources when writing words!  Check out this young lady’s hard work!  She looks determined!

Look at those faces!

Look at those faces!  These boys are excited to learn!  In Ms. Kemian’s class we worked on a poem and then went on a hunt to find many examples of where W can be in words.

Kindergarten completing a picture sort based on beginning sounds

Kindergarten students from Mrs. Caillouette’s class completed a picture sort with Mrs. Muston.  They worked on saying which pictures began with the sounds of b, m  and p.
