The run will be held at River Oaks Elementary School promptly at 8:30 am. Must finish by 10:30 am.
Check in will take place starting at 7:30 am.
Cost: $20.00 per runner/walker
You must register & pay online at the above link
Register by 9/20/18 to guarantee a race bib, if you register the day of the race you will not receive a bib number or a sports bottle
Wear your own white shirt; you will be sprayed with colored powder throughout the race.
Start and finish at River Oaks Elementary School
It will be a timed 5K Run or Walk
Proceeds will be used to help provide financial support for River Oaks Elementary School Classrooms
Sorry, No refunds will be given. This is a rain or shine event.
Water & Snacks will be provided for participants only.
All participants will receive a certificate and a Sports water bottle
The color run is an exciting fundraising event where participants are doused with color while raising funds!
Volunteers needed! River Oaks is looking for volunteers to assist with the race (check-in, water/refreshments, color stations, etc.) If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ms. Sandi at 313-827-6750.
The colors used are made with high quality cornstarch and food dyes. All materials are 100% FD&C and/or D&C and approved by the US FDA. Anyone who has asthma, is allergic to any of the ingredients or has respiratory issues should exercise caution when participating in color powder events.

We hope you enjoyed your summer. First day back is Monday, August 27th 8:35a-11:45am.
Last Day of School Next Thursday
Last day of school will be next week Thursday, June 14th. It will be a half day dismissal for all students. Have a safe and wonderful summer.

This week and the week after 5th graders are taking the English Language Arts followed by Math, Science and Social Studies. Please remind your children to sleep early and have a good breakfast.
Teacher of the Year Award Due Tomorrow
* No more than two teachers can be nominated per student
* Nominations are due Thursday, March 16, 2018 [LATE NOMINATIONS WILL
NOT BE ACCEPTED]
* Adults may assist when necessary or appropriate
* A winning teacher will be nominated from PK-2, 3-5, middle, and high school
* Let your teacher know you nominated them because the Chamber will not
disclose this information
* If you nominate a teacher, please attend the ceremony to congratulate
him/her in person

Tomorrow is the last day of school before Winter Break. School will reopen on Monday, Janurary 8th 2018.
