  • NOTE: In retrospect, the question in which we got fractions for our answer was not a great problem for me to pick. Though I do expect that we are able to perform operations with fractions, you will more than likely not see one with an answer like this on a test/quiz. However, while we’re on the topic of operations with fractions, if you were super confused about how we found a common denominator, added and divided fractions feel free to stop by for tutoring!
• PRACTICE: Elimination Practice

We will be having a quiz over the methods of solving systems of linear equations late this week or early next week. We’ll see how things go over the next couple of days…

Today was a late start and students took their Function Transformations Unit Test. I will have these tests graded by Monday. They will be included on this card marking. Please note that due to the date of the card marking ending (Oct 20) that the retake will have to occur after this date. This will not have a negative impact on your student’s grade if they choose to retake this assessment due to our overall semester long grades.

Tomorrow we’ll begin our new unit!
