Reminders about Tomorrow
Good Evening Parents/Guardians!
Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow there will be a social studies quiz on the Geography of Michigan. The quiz is only about 8 questions long and we will be playing Geography jeopardy tomorrow before our test. If you need an extra study guide please see the weekly post. Thank you!
Tomorrow is our Halloween Party! We look forward to celebrating this haunting holiday at 2:45-3:30 tomorrow afternoon. Just a quick couple of reminders.
The first reminder is that Halloween shirts or colors are allowed to be worn tomorrow. However, costumes are sadly to be left at home for trick-or-treating.
If your child would like to bring individual Halloween treats to pass out to the class (this is totally optional), please keep in mind that we have many allergies (peanuts, tree nuts, strawberries, gelatin, gluten, red food dye, orange juice). There are a few candies that would be safe for everyone (Smarties, Dum-Dums, and Tootsie Rolls) but you could also be creative and pass out a non-food item. There are 29 students in our class. Bags will be provided.
Lastly, please remember to sign in at the office if you plan on attending tomorrow’s festivities. We would love to have you.
Halloween Party in Two Days!
Our Halloween Celebration is quickly approaching! Just a friendly reminder that our party will be from 2:45-3:30 on Thursday. We are also in need of a couple items to make our party magical.
Please see the link below for items that we would love to have donated.

This year Mrs. Tiba has decided to have everyone’s classroom party be at the same time. Therefore, our party will be held now at 2:45-3:30pm instead of 1:55-2:40. I do apologize for the confusion and inconvenience that this may have caused. Please make sure to check out our Sign Up Genius for ways that you could help out for our party.

Today your child brought home a friendly reminder regarding Zearn. As a third-grade requirement, we expect to have students complete a total of 4 Zearn lessons a week (Monday-Sunday). We check-in our Zearn completed lessons on Monday morning for the prior week and track them within our Leadership Binder. Today as a class we noticed that our class percentage for completing Zearn lessons went down by almost 25%.
By completing Zearn lessons, your child is practicing their math skills that are aligned to what we are learning in class. This will also help your child reach their academic goal for math. This ultimately helps them acheive a better grade!
If you have received a Zearn reminder note, please return it signed tomorrow. This will help make sure everyone is on track and can be successful in reaching their math goal!
