Good Evening Parents!

I just wanted to give a heads-up that I have now added a Unit 1 Study Guide Tab to our web page. Please click on this tab at the top of our website to see the links to all of the study guides that your child will get this unit. Feel free to print off or use online. Students will be getting a paper copy later on this week and next to take home to use. I just wanted to give you a head start if you so choose!

In addition, I have updated our Multiplication Fact page as well. It now has the counting by 3s, 4s, 5s, and 6s videos. These are used in class, and are a class favorite.

Lastly, today we learned about how the Mackinac Bridge was built. Feel free to watch this educational video about the process of making the bridge! I have also included a link to some facts and kid activities to discuss Mackinac.

Thank you to all of those parents who volunteered or came out to support Haunted School! It was truly a success! I loved seeing all of the creative costumes too.

Since we are beginning to wrap up the first card-marking, you are going to start receiving some study guides this week to help prepare your child for their upcoming tests. Please make sure to review these items with your child and work on concepts we have been discussing in class. I will be uploading all of the study guides under a new tab on our blog. So, make sure to keep an eye out for that! On that page, you will also find videos and helpful hints to help your child with our curriculum. Please let me know if you ever need any more support.

Made in Michigan Project

Yesterday your child brought home our Made in Michigan Project! This project is a project that you will be completing with your child at home. Your child will be asked to research at home a product or item that is made or produced in
Michigan. This product can be anything large, small, edible, etc.. They will have to fill out the attached worksheet regarding their research. Following their research, they will present their information and their product to the class. This will help students become familiar with different locations within our state, but also help them learn
about the different exports that are produced here.

Lastly, if you are able to, we would like it if every student could bring in the product or item that they researched on the day of their presentation. All items that are brought in by the students would be placed into our Made in Michigan
Holiday Boutique basket. This basket helps fundraise for our entire school and the donation would be greatly appreciated!
Our Made in Michigan Project will be due on Monday, November 4th . Listed below you will find some examples of Michigan Made products.
