Good Afternoon Parents,

Today during math your child learned about fractions on a number line. During class we watched the following song about fractions on a number line. Feel free to re watch and enjoy. We also will be completing math homework for Module 5 Lesson 14 (problems 1-2). If you need some extra guidance, feel free to watch the Eureka Math video below as well.

While we were reviewing opportunity cost in class, we began discussing incentives with businesses. Economic incentives are what motivates you to behave in a certain way, while preferences are your needs, wants and desires. Some examples of this would include: buy one/get one sales, free gift card with purchase, coupons, etc.

If you and your child come across an economic incentive, feel free to send it in with them to class. I will be offering extra credit for students who bring in an example of an economic incentive.
