Welcome back everyone! I hope you took some time out this past break to really “Sharpen the Saw” and recharge. From now until the end of the year, we will be working hard to prepare for our upcoming M-STEP assessment. Please continue to have conversations with your child about their lead measures and how they are working on making sure they are prepared for the assessment.
In addition, today in class to get prepared we discussed preparing our brains for having a Growth Mindset instead of a Fixed Mindset. Growth Mindset is the belief that you can get smarter when you work hard. Even when something is difficult, with a Growth Mindset you keep trying. While a Fixed Mindset is the belief that a person can’t change their intelligence. People with a Fixed Mindset give up more easily.
