Dearborn Public Schools is implementing a new math program in the elementary schools. Eureka Math has been selected to help us meet the rigorous work required of students by the Common Core State Standards.
Students have 3 different books as part of the program. The “Succeed” book is the homework part of the program. These practice pages are very similar to the practice set your child completed for that day’s lesson. Students will keep the book within their desk and pull out the pages needed for homework. They will then be expected to complete and return the pages the following day. YouTube has short video lessons that will help re-explain the concepts taught in the lesson. To find the videos search Eureka Math, grade level, module number, and lesson number (For example: Eureka Math 3rd grade Module 1 lesson 1).
In addition, I will also post the letter at the beginning of each new module that will give you some helpful advice on how to complete problems. These are also easily searchable online if you follow the same format as above.
Please be patient with our teachers at Lindbergh, since we are also trying our best to make sure this amazing program is taught in the way that it deserves. If you have any questions about this curriculum, please feel free to reach out to us!
