Week of 10/30 – 11/3

This week my PE Classes will be evaluated on their fitness levels for the following items:  Sit & Reach, push-ups, and curl-ups.  This will provide an opportunity for students to determine their fitness levels as compared to students across the country as established in the Presidential Fitness Standards.

Along with the fitness assessment, my classes will be participating in Basketball and table tennis.

Thank you.

Week of 10/16 – 10/20

Welcome back!

All of my classes are scheduled for the pool this week.  We will be working on the Front Crawl swim stroke.  Students please remember to bring the necessary items, such as your swimsuit, towel, sandals, etc.  If you have goggles, you may bring those as well.

Thank you.

Week of 9/25 – 9/29

Starting later this week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) all of my classes will be participating in the mile run.  6th graders should try to complete the run in 9:20 or less, 7th graders in 8:40 or less, and 8th graders in 8:06 or less.  These times are based on the national average for boys in their age group.  Good Luck!

Along with the mile run, we will also be participating in softball and soccer.

Enjoy your week!

Week of 9/11-9/15

2017 Cipriano Run Information-Permission Slip

Welcome back to another school year.  We are off and running…literally:)  So far into the young school year, all of my classes are getting adjusted to the routines of my physical education class.  The first two weeks we will be spending much of our time orienteering ourselves to the procedures and expectations for my class, so that all can have a successful and enjoyable educational experience.

Activity wise, we have been preparing for the mile run fitness test (that will be coming up in the near future) as well as the Cipriano Run (for those that are interested, see the attached flier).   We have also been participating in falcon / flag football, soccer, and basketball.

Thank you!

Week of 5/30 – 6/2

Welcome Back!

Now that we have finished testing, all of my classes will be participating in a variety of activities including soccer, softball, walking, and basketball.

Enjoy the Spring Weather!

Enjoy your 4 day weekend coming up!

Week of 5/8 – 5/12

Hi All,

With the weather not cooperating last week, we will be doing our mile run this week along with our 3 other fitness assessment areas (push-ups, sit & reach, and curl-ups).   Keep in mind, that we will also be doing the Presidential Challenge for those of you that would like to attempt to receive the award.  Good Luck!
