Bellwork reviewed using the distance formula and slope to determine what type of quadrilateral a figure is.
The remainder of the period we discussed what information a written statement and a diagram provide. This skill will be used when writing proofs later in Geometry.

Bellwork reviewed solving equations by listing all the steps and providing reasons for each step. This is the beginning of writing Geometric proofs.
The remainder of the period we continued with Sec 2-4 by applying Properties of Congruence to statements and using them to make conclusions.

The remainder of the period we finished discussing Sec 2-2 and began Sec 2-4, Reasoning in Algebra. Students were introduced to the concept of giving reasons for each step made when solving an equation. This is a prelude to the kinds of proofs students will be working on soon.
