1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:

Bellwork reviewed solving quadratic equations by factoring and square roots, Sec 5-5.

Hwk #19 is due today.

The remainder of the period we discussed modeling real-life situations with quadratic equations then using those equations to answer a given question about the situation.

4th & 5th Hours:

Bellwork gave students practice modeling a given situation with a system of equations and solving this system to answer a question about the situation.

The Classwork Sheet from yesterday is due today.

The remainder of the period we discussed Sec 3-1.  This section discusses how to solve a system of equations by graphing and how to find the number of solutions to a system of equations without graphing.

Hwk #15 was passed out to students.  Practice Sheet Sec 3-1.

This homework will be due on Tuesday.
