1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:

Bellwork reviewed graphing a Sine Function and writing the equation of a Sine Function.

Hwk #31 is due today.

The remainder of the period we began our discussion on Sec 13-7.  Students worked on an exploration for Sec 13-7 to discover what happens to the graph of y=Sinx when you graph:

  1.  y=Sinx+k  and  y=Sinx-k
  2.  y=Sin(x+h)  and y=Sin(x-h)

Hwk #32 will be due on Monday.

4th & 5th Hours:

Bellwork gave students practice writing equations of Reciprocal Functions from their graphs and graphing these functions given their equations.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 9-2.  Students were also given examples of skills that they will be using in Chapter 9.  Most of these skills involve operations with fractions.

Hwk #36 is due tomorrow.
