1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:

Bellwork reviewed finding points of discontinuity and classifying them as either Holes or Vertical Asymptotes.

Hwk #5 is due today.

The remainder of the period we continued discussing Sec 9-3.  Students discovered how the equation of a Horizontal Asymptote or a Rational Function can be determined from its equation.

Hwk #6 was made available to the students and will be due on Monday, Feb 13.

Practice Sheet:  Horizontal Asymptotes, x-intercepts, and y-intercepts of Rational Functions.

Bellwork reviewed finding the maximum/minimum of a function and when that value occurs.

Hwk #6 is due today.

The remainder of the period we began discussing Sec 5-3, Vertex Form for the Equation of a parabola.

Hwk #7 is due tomorrow.  Practice Sheet Sec 5-3.
