1st, 2nd, 3rd:

Bellwork reviewed Completing the Square and modeling a real situation with a Quadratic Equation and using this equation to answer a question.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 5-6, Completing the Square.  Students learned how to solve an equation by completing the square and how to turn a Quadratic Function written in Standard Form into Vertex Form by completing the square.

Hwk #21 is due tomorrow.   Sec 5-7

4th & 5th Hours:

Bellwork gave students practice solve a system of equations involving Absolute Value and Quadratic Functions.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 3-2 then began our discussion on Sec 3-3, Systems of Linear Inequalities.  We started by finding the solution region to a system of Linear Inequalities by graphing.

Students were given the Practice to use for Hwk #17.  This homework will be due after the Thanksgiving Break.
