1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:

Bellwork had students find solutions to inequalities by graphing both sides of the inequality as separate graphs.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 1-5, Solving Absolute Value Equations and Inequalities.

Hwk #5 is due tomorrow.  Sec 1-5

Page 36.  Problems 10, 14, 20, 23, 41, 47, 51  Students don’t have to graph the solutions.

4th & 5th Hours:

Bellwork reviewed solving Literal Equations and reintroduced the concept of Domain and Range.

Hwk #4 is due today.

The remainder of the period we continued discussing Sec 1-3 by practicing application problems.  This means students had to read some information, write equations, and solve them to find missing information.

Hwk #5 was assigned.  Due date is still to be determined.  Sec 1-3

Page 22.  Problems 32-35, 49, 53, 66 (parts a & b only).
