Bellwork reviewed how to solve quadratic equations by factoring and/or using square roots.
Hwk #20 is due today.
The remainder of the period we discussed three forms of a quadratic function:
- Standard Form: y = ax^2+bx+c
- Vertex Form: y =a(x-h)^2+k
and a third one: Intercept or Factored Form: y = (x-m)(x-n)
Students should be able use each of the above form in order to find the equation for the Line of Symmetry, the coordinates of the vertex, the y-intercept, and be able to graph using 5 points.
