Bellwork reviewed graphing parabolas using a table of values.
Hwk #24 is due today.
The remainder of the period we began our discussion on Sec 10-1, Exploring Quadratic Graphs. We covered some of the basic vocabulary used when referring to Quadratic Functions and their graphs. Students used a graphing calculator to explore the graph of y=ax^2+c and how changing the values of a and c affect the graph.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 9-8, Factoring Polynomials with Four Terms. We also started discussing simplifying square roots which is a topic students will see in Chapter 10 this year, in Algebra 2 next year, and in Geometry the following year.
