Bellwork reviewed characteristics of the graphs of Quadratic Functions such as:  finding the equation for the Line of Symmetry, finding the coordinates of the Vertex, finding the y-intercept, and graphing the parabola (Sec 10-1, 10-2).

The remainder of the period we finished discussing Sec 10-2 by finding the maximum or minimum value of a quadratic and when it occurs.  We also continued discussing how to simplify square roots, Sec 10-3.

Hwk #26 is due tomorrow.  Sec 10-2

Pages 520-521

Problems 1-3, 11-13, 16, 32-34, 37

Bellwork reviewed graphing parabolas using a table of values.

Hwk #24 is due today.

The remainder of the period we began our discussion on Sec 10-1, Exploring Quadratic Graphs.  We covered some of the basic vocabulary used when referring to Quadratic Functions and their graphs.  Students used a graphing calculator to explore the graph of y=ax^2+c and how changing the values of a and c affect the graph.
