Bellwork reviewed writing numbers in Scientific Notation and in Standard Notation.

The remainder of the period we finished discussing Scientific Notation by learning how to interpret the results the calculator gives and how it shows Scientific Notation as well as how to enter a number on the calculator in Scientific Notation.

We then began discussing more rules of exponents beginning with Sec 8-3:  Multiplication Rules of Exponents.

Hwk #6 is due on Monday February 23:  Pages 402-403, problems 1-3, 10-13, 16-18, 21, 42, 43.

Students have enough knowledge to complete Hwk #7:  Pages 407-408, problems 10, 12, 16-18, 21, 28, 40, 42
