Bellwork reviewed using exponential equations to relate to real-world situations. Students were also introduced to compound interest problems.
The bellwork took most of the period. After the bellwork students were shown how to calculate interest when it is compounded continuously using the formula: A = Pe^(rt)

Bellwork reviewed for Monday’s quiz.  This bellwork took about half of the period.

Hwk #9 is due today.

The remainder of the period we discussed the homework that was due and students worked on a review by signing on to www.ixl.com and practicing problems involving properties of exponents.

Students received the review for Sections 8-1 to 8-5.  Quiz on these sections will be on Monday, March 2.
