4th & 5th Hours:

Bellwork reviewed problems from Chapters 2 and 3.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 6-1 by covering the topic of Rate of Change.  We then began discussing Sec 6-4, Point-Slope Form for the equation of a line.

Hwk #24 is due on Thursday.  Sec 6-1

Pages 286-288

Problems 1-4, 8, 9, 20-25, 49, 61, 62

Students were also given the answers to the Final Exam Review for Chapters 1 and 2 that they were given over the Winter Break.

6th Hour:

Bellwork reviewed the graphs and equations of Absolute Value Equations.

Hwk #23 is due today.

The remainder of the period we discussed how the skills learned from our discussions on graphs and equations of Absolute Value Functions can help when graphing Quadratic Equations if written in the following form:  y = a(x-h)^2+k.

We then began discussing Sec 5-5, Direct Variation.

Students were also given the answers to the Final Exam Review for Chapters 1 and 2 that they were given over the Winter Break.
