This is it!  We are down to the last four days of Summer School!  Some of you have done a fantastic job of getting yourselves caught up on missing work.  However, there are still a few of you that are failing due to the fact that you have not turned in your assignments!  I cannot stress enough how important it is to turn in these assignments to me in the next two days!  I must submit my final overall grades by Friday morning at 9:00 am.  Therefore, I need to have all of your work submitted to me by Thursday night at 9:00 pm.

Today, I will be holding one more virtual meeting where I can touch base with each of you individually about your overall grades.  I will open this meeting at 11:30 am today.  You can join this meeting through iLearn and BBB.  If you have not already done so, then you need to enroll in my iLearn course which is called:  Geo Summer 20.   The class enrollment code is:  ut8njy

As an added incentive, I will award you 5 extra credit points if you join this meeting and participate today.  This is your opportunity to find out exactly what you are missing, and to develop a plan to make up all missing work!  If you cannot make it during this time, then please email me with a different time that might work for you to meet with me.  I have made this very easy for you make up these missing assignments because I have made screencastify videos to show you how to complete each problem on every assignment.  You just need to take the time to do it!  I look forward to seeing you all later today!

This is the last week for Summer School! It is imperative that we get all work turned in by Thursday, July 23 at 3:00 pm! I must submit grades after that.

Today, I added our last two assignments for each class. That will make for a total of 15 assignments in each class for the Summer. Please go into Google Classroom and complete the new assignments which were assigned today. Honestly, they should only take 5 to 10 minutes for each one. One of the assignments is a Quizizz assignment, so you can take it as many times as needed. The other assignment will have videos posted after it to help you. I also posted my guided notes for these units and made screencastify videos to teach you these concepts. Please watch all of the videos! They will help you with all the work you need to do.

Please also email today, so I can set up individual times to virtually meet with you about your progress. I want to make sure that we all complete the work we need to in order to get the credits for the class. I will once again be making phone contacts again this week.

Happy Friday! I hope that you will all have a great weekend! It is going to be very hot this weekend! Stay cool and stay safe! Please also try to complete your missing assignments! I am going to repeatedly nag you about this because I do not want any of you to fail my class. We only have one more week to go now! I will be posting the last new assignments very soon (either later today or tomorrow). When it is all said and done for this Summer term, there will be a total of 15 assignments that you are responsible to turn in for the entire Summer School term. You can do this!

I woke up this morning to find it raining outside. That is good because we need it! Today would be a great day to work hard to get caught up on all of your missing Geometry assignments. A couple of you contacted me about having an individual virtual meeting with you yesterday. I did open up meetings at your requested times. However, I did not ever see that you had logged in. Please let me know when we can connect on a virtual meeting. That way I can be very specific with you about your progress and what you need to do to be successful and receive a decent grade for my class. Once again, we only have a little more than a week of classes left.

We are now a week and a half away from the end of Summer School. I will assign two more assignments for each class which will make for a total of 15 assignments for the entire Summer term. You must complete the older work that you are missing very soon! I need to have grades submitted by next Friday, July 24. Therefore, I really need to have all of your work turned in by Thursday, July 23. Please start working on your missing assignments! Please also email me to arrange an individual virtual meeting where I can discuss your grades and missing assignments specifically for each of you. We can develop a game plan to help you get everything completed. You all can do this! Let’s finish strong!

Geometry Students,

We are scheduled to have another virtual meeting today at 12:00 pm (Noon).  You can access this meeting through iLearn and BBB.  You must enroll in my iLearn class (if you have not already done so) before you can access the meeting.  My class is called Geo Summer 2020.  The class code is:  ut8njy

Unfortunately, I will need to keep this meeting very short today.  We have a Summer School staff meeting at 12:30 pm.  Therefore, I will need to end our meeting by 12:25 at the latest.  I will actually try to enter the meeting earlier at 11:45 am to give you a little more time.  Once again, the purpose of this meeting is to touch base with you to help make sure that you understand what is expected from you and to answer any questions that you may have.  I will award 5 extra credit points to any student who logs in and participates in this meeting.  I hope to see you all later today.  If you need to schedule a different time for a virtual meeting, then please email me.

Daily Blog for July 13, 2020

Geometry Students,

I just posted one new paper assignment (RL12) and one new Quizizz Assignment (RL13) for Week # 5.  I have also posted new guided notes and videos for these guided notes and assignments for this week.  Please watch the videos and complete all assigned work for this week!

I have also updated all grades up through Week # 4.  Unfortunately, many of you are still failing Summer School Geometry because you have not been turning in the required work.  It is critical that you all turn in all missing assignments this week!  Next week will be our last week of class!  We must get our work completed because I will need to submit final grades by the end of next week.  I am also required to contact students and parents with missing work and failing grades.  I will be making another round of calls home this week.  I will also send individual emails to each of you explaining exactly what you are missing.

Tomorrow at 12:00 pm (Noon), I would like to hold another virtual meeting for everyone.  I have decided to award extra credit points for these meetings.  Therefore, those of you who attended either of the first two virtual meetings will see the extra credit points added to the GC (Google Classroom enrollment) points in the grade book.  You can earn 5 more extra credit points for attending the meeting tomorrow.  now is the time to get all work caught up!  There are not too many days left in the Summer term!  I truly want each of you to succeed!  Please email me to let me know how I can better help you with anything!

The link will expire on the current Quizizz assignment. However, you may choose to do the paper version for weeks 3-4 instead. Please contact by email with any questions or concerns that you have. I would also like to set up individual virtual meetings with each of you.
