I hope that you are all doing well! It looks like it could be another bright and sunny day. I hope that you are all able to enjoy yourselves this weekend. I have been updating the grades every day. Please continue to check Student Connect to see exactly which assignments you may be missing since the week of April 20. Many of you have probably received phone calls and contacts from other people at the school to encourage you to complete all of your online work. The fact of the matter is that we only have two weeks left in the semester, so there is very little time left for you to get caught up if you are behind. We do not want anyone to fail any class. A reminder that you need to complete the current Quizizz assignment this weekend, and you now need to complete all of the make-up Quizizz assignments by Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 pm. Please let me know what I can do to help you with anything during this process.

Today, I sent many emails to students who are failing or are in danger of failing my class. I encourage all of you to go to Student Connect to see which assignments you are missing. You have a chance to make up any assignment that you have a zero for. In fact, I have even reassigned all of the Quizizz assignments which had previously expired. These make-up Quizizz assignments must be completed by Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 pm.

I have been trying to consistently make sure that I update the grades each day. I have not put in any assignments that are due this week yet. Please continue to check Student Connect and be sure to make up any missing assignments that you have. Remember, that the Quizizz assignments for this week are due by Monday. Do them now, so that you don’t miss the deadline.

Yesterday, I added new assignments and videos for all classes. Please check Google Classroom to start working on the assignments which are due by Monday. Every week there are many students who try to submit the Quizizz assignments after the due date when the link has already expired. Please make sure that you complete the Quizizz assignment by the end of the week (the link will expire at midnight Sunday night/Monday morning). There are videos posted for the paper assignments. The two assignments this week and two assignments which will be posted next week will be the last assignments for the school year. The last week of school will be used to give you time to make up missing assignments.

Today, I will be posting a new Quizizz assignment for each of my classes. These assignments will be due by next Monday. Tomorrow, I will be posting a new paper assignment for each class as well as screencastify videos for these assignments. These assignments will also be due by next Monday.

A quick reminder that the assignments from last week were due byu today. I will be going through and checking all of these assignments today.

Today is the last official day for Seniors! However, Seniors still can turn in assignments until Monday. I must have all of my Senior grades turned in next week. There are still some of you who need to turn in missing assignments. Please do that this weekend! It was very nice to see some of you during the Senior Graduation Drive-thru yesterday. There were some cars that went through with the windows up and it was hard to see all of you.

For all students, please complete the Quizizz assignments which are due this week. The link will expire Monday. There is also paper assignments for all classes which need to be completed by Monday.

It looks the sun will be out today to hopefully dry out some of the wet areas. I have been seeing that many of you have been submitting the Quizizz assignments this week. Most of these scores have been very good! Please keep up the good work! I also appreciate the fact that more than half of you have completed the online learning survey that I posted this week. I do value your input. Please remember to finish the year strong. This is the last week of class for all Seniors, and everyone else only has three weeks after this week. I am planning on two assignments for each week so it will go fast and should not be too much work to do. Now is the time for you to get caught up on any missing work from the last few weeks. Please also remember that once the Quizizz links expire, then you cannot submit those assignments, so please complete them before the due dates. Have a great day!

I have been reading through the survey responses that have been submitted from some of you. They are very helpful to me as I am learning how to do things online. If you have not already done so, please complete the online learning survey for my class. I truly appreciate the cooperation and work ethic that many of you have been showing during this shutdown period.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to drive around and pass out lawn signs for graduating Seniors. I was glad to be able to see some of you when I delivered your sign. Unfortunately, some of you were not home (or you have moved) when I stopped by to deliver your sign. So, if you all of sudden discovered a new lawn sign in your yard, then it was probably me delivering it to you. I am really going to miss all of you! Congratualtions to all of the graduating Seniors!

Please remember to complete all of your work for the week. It is especially important to complete the Quizizz assignments by the due date because you will not be able to make them up after the link expires.

This is the last week for Seniors! I will really miss you!

I have posted many new things in Google Classroom for each of my classes. These new posts and activities include, guided notes and video to explain and teach the guided notes, one Quizizz assignment, one new paper assignment, and one online learning survey. I have already made and posted the screencastify videos for the paper assignments. Please print off the assignment, watch all of the videos, write down all of the work and answers on a separate sheet of paper, take a picture of the completed work, and then submit it into Google Classroom. I would highly recommend that you start with the paper assignment because I think by watching the videos for these assignments, you will be more prepared to complete the Quizizz assignments for each class. Once again, the Quizizz assignments are multiple choice or short answer. They range from 10 to 20 questions in length. You can retake them them as many times as you need to in order to achieve a passing score of at least 60%. Please retake the Quizizz if you score less than 60%. You must complete the Quizizz assignment by next Monday. The link will expire and you will not be allowed to complete it after the link has expired. I am giving you a full week to do this. However, Seniors I ask for your sake that you try to have these assignments completed by Thursday of this week if possible, so we can figure your final grades.

Please continue to check your progress in Student Connect. I have been updating grades frequently over the last few days. Some of you still have a lot to finish.

To make things much easier for you, I have completely reorganized all of the posts in my Google Classroom classes.  Now everything is arranged according to the weeks they were posted or assigned.  All assignments are posted with a clipboard icon next to them.  These are the assignments which must be turned in.  All assignments after April 20 are counted in the gradebook, and all missing assignments after April 20 are given zeros.  I posted all screencastify videos for each assignment immediately after the assignment that they go with.  These videos are posted as “Material” and have a banner icon next to them.  Please go back and complete every missing assignment that you have that was assigned after April 20.  Use the screencastify videos to help you on them.

I also completely updated all grades in Student Connect. Please check your grades to see how you are doing. Many students have fallen below 60% which means that those students will be given an “N” grade for the class. An “N” grade means that you will not be given credit for the class and you will have to retake it in Summer School or Night School. I do not want that to happen. We only have four weeks of school left, so it is very important to get all missing assignments made up as soon as possible.
