Dai;y Blog for 9/22/2020

We are now rolling along into our third week. For many of you, things have started off very well! For some of you, I have not received much work from you and you have not been as engaged as you need to be. I will be contacting some of you through email or by phone calls to try to help you get back on track.

I want to make sure that all of you know about the “Open Office Hours” that I am setting up for Asynchronous time.  Each day, except Wednesdays, you will have the opportunity to attend “open office hours” during your scheduled asynchronous hour.  On Wednesday mornings, we usually have teacher PLC meetings, but I will still open up our Zoom meeting if I am not already in another Zoom meeting with other teachers.  Open office hours begin this week.  Here is the updated schedule to attend these meetings.  1st Hour (on B days) and 4th Hour (on A days) can meet from 8:15 – 9:10 am.  2nd Hour (on B days) and 5th Hour (on A days) can meet with me from 9:15 – 10:10 am.  Finally, 6th Hour will have “open office hours” on A days from 10:15 – 11:10 am.  The reason that we will follow a schedule is so that you are not required or asked to be in two meetings at the same time.  However, since I will be using the same Zoom link for all of my classes, please feel free to attend my “open office hours” at any time from 8:15 – 11:10 am each morning.  If for some reason I do not admit you into the Zoom meeting after a few minutes, then please send me an email.  I will start requiring some students attend these meetings to get caught up on their missing assignments.

Remember that today is “A” day, so we will have our scheduled class Zoom meetings for 1st and 2nd Hours during our Synchronous time later this afternoon.  1st Hour from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, and 2nd Hour from 1:05 pm – 2:05 pm.  Attendance will be taken so please make sure that you attend these meetings during your scheduled time.

I look forward to seeing you at our next Zoom meeting!
