Daily Blog for 4/27/2020

I hope that you all had a very nice weekend! It looks like it is going to be a pretty nice day outside today.

Since this is the beginning of a new week, there are new assignments, new pages of guided notes, and videos for the guided notes posted for all classes. Please note, the district has suspended the use of Google Meet for virtual class discussions for the time being. Therefore, the virtual meetings scheduled for Tuesdays and my office hours scheduled for Thursdays are cancelled until further notice. I am hoping that we will be able to continue with these learning opportunities in the near future.

For my Geometry classes, I have posted two new things which will need to be turned in by Friday, May 1, 2020. The first assignment is actually a multiple choice quiz about circumference, arcs, arc length, and area of circles and sectors. Please complete these problems and make sure that I can clearly see the answers you circle because I will be grading these quizzes. I will not be making a screencastify video for the quiz, but if you are struggling on some specific problems, then please email me. There is also some new material posted teaching you about tangent lines to a circle. I made a video to explain and teach my guided notes. I hope this video will give you some idea of how to solve the problems on the Tangent Lines worksheet which is also posted and due on Friday, May 1. Later in the week (probably on Wednesday), I will post a screencastify video for this worksheet.

For my ASAP classes, I will also be posting new assignments and guided notes for your classes as well. Many of you still have not completed the assignments from this past week. Please remember that participation in these online learning activities is required and does count toward your final grade.
