Happy Friday everyone! I know that Friday probably does not feel very different from any other day right now.
The superintendent will be sending a letter to all families regarding virtual meetings. You may have already received this letter. There have been some issues with virtual meetings at different buildings throughout the district. What has happened is that some students decided to disrupt these meetings and insert inappropriate content such as profanity and pornography. I am very proud of the fact that in all of the virtual meetings that I have had, all of you conducted yourselves in a respectful manner. I thought the meetings were helpful and productive. It was good to see and talk to many of you again. As a result of the disruptive meetings around the district, they have decided to suspend the use of Google Meet for students for the time being. They may encourage us to use a different virtual meeting platform, or they may open up again and allow us to continue to use Google Meet. I will let you know more when I hear more from the district. Therefore, the virtual meetings scheduled for Tuesday are cancelled until further notice. It is extremely important for all of you to know that if you purposely disrupt any learning activity online, then the district will take severe action against any individual involved. They take this very seriously!
This weekend I will grade the assignments which are due this week. Please remember that I do need to document which students are actively involved in the learning activities and which students are not doing anything.
Please continue to email me with any questions or concerns that you have about anything. I hope that you all have a great weekend!
