1. Oakman Folder-Sign and return behavior calendar for APRIL!!  Finish Gingerbread Man Poem HOMEWORK if not completed!!
2.Reading/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to “read” each night and practice sight words… NEW books for reading pictures, listening and asking/answering questions (use bookmark), finding sight words, etc. were given in see through reading bag. 

** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, here, you, dog, up, on, have, said, it, she, me, went, make, they, play, no and 2 NEW sight words big and down.

3.READING GROUP BAG—> , re-read old books for fluency AND read NEW book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: “Find a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the /s/ sound. ETC.”  Please keep alphabet linking chart and on back NEW consonants blends and digraphs in their bag– this is to help with reading and writing during reading groups and can be practiced at home as part of 15 minutes of reading each night!

4. Math Module 4 NEW homework workbook-lesson 21, helper on page 83 and homework page 85.

5. Spelling Notebook

Reminders:

Please send in a healthy SNACK for the month of April.  (We have 18 students- thank you!)

Please send in OAKMAN GEAR ORDER FORMS if you wish to order!!! by THURSDAY!

Please remember, NO school Friday, April 19th.

Kindergarten Spelling Week of April 15th Test on THURSDAY April 18th! This week’s spelling words are: play me big hot pot Plus 2 other words from the –ot family (such as dot, cot, knot, jot, etc.) **Students will also have 2 *BONUS*– 1 dictated sentence (write sentence teacher says aloud) and 1 sentence of their own (with a spelling word in it). *BONUS* will only be given if they have all parts of a sentence from our checklist— Capital letter at the beginning, written neatly on the lines—sight words spelled correctly, finger spaces between words, AND punctuation at the end of the sentence (. ? !). Thank you for practicing spelling words EACH NIGHT by doing daily assignments (inside cover) in spelling notebooks! 
