We had a great day!!! Let’s do it again tomorrow but without the rain ;)

Please be on time! Students will line up outside on small playground at 8:25 and students ONLY will enter the building when the bell rings (Parents cannot come inside tomorrow- this will help ease the transition for everyone- trust us, they will be fine and we will call you if we need anything!!)

**Please send in school supplies ASAP so we can start our routines. Tomorrow for morning work we need BLACK THIN DRY ERASE markers (EXPO), so if you are able to send it tomorrow it would be greatly appreciated!!! Also the 2 pencil boxes are the only items that NEED YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON THEM (first and last please)**

****IF ANY PARENTS ARE WILLING TO HELP ORGANIZE THE SUPPLIES TOMORROW FROM 12:00-12:30 or so (after pick up with your child) it would be greatly appreciated.*****

Students will get to play outside for recess (wear comfortable clothes and CLOSED TOED SHOES).

Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria and have 3 choices for school lunch:

1st: Crispy Fish and Chips (tater tots)
2nd Choice: Thai Veggie Stir Fry With Rice
3rd Choice:  Cheesy Nachos
California Vegetables will be served with all choices and a fresh salad bar will also available for all students.

PLEASE TALK TO YOUR CHILD ABOUT THESE CHOICES SO THEY ARE READY TO MAKE THEIR CHOICE IN THE MORNING- thank you! πŸ™‚

Students brought home today their BLUE OAKMAN FOLDERS !!!! Please read the letter about behavior and check their β€œcolor” for the day and initial next to it. –> This is another important way that we communicate. I try to check folders at the beginning of the day so if any doctor notes, etc. please put them in there. Also the REMIND TEXT message is the BEST way to let me know important information in real time, such as if your child is sick, could not complete homework for a specific reason, lost something, etc.

Dissmissal will be at 12:00 noon on the PLAYGROUND by door 4- please be on time (or EARLY :)) Students MUST GIVE ME A HIGH 5 before they go so I can mark them off my list– this is important for safety so please make sure your child follows this important procedure. For the first week, I ask that you come to me so I can give you a brief report on how they did and give any reminders.

Thanks for all your support.

Love,

Mrs. Rawson

Summer work β˜€οΈ πŸ“š πŸ““ πŸ“

Summer work is to finish the green math workbooks (many pages we did not get done) and to read 15 minutes daily and practice sight words.. also strongly suggest to write and draw in blue notebooks often- all these items have already been sent home. Students will have access through CLEVER to reading eggs and β€œletter e” as well as abcya.com for fun learning games!!

(No formal packets/workbook will be given out- but you can purchase β€œbridge workbook” at target, Walmart, or amazon if you want something for formal for summer work.)
