We are at 87 items of food, help us meet our goal of 100 and send in some cans, boxed foods (cereal, pasta, noddles, rice, etc.) or jars (peanut butter, jelly, etc). The students are really excited and hopeful to get to 100!!!

Homework— ( 4 things!!!)  PLEASE SEND IN A HEALTHY SNACK FOR NOVEMBER ASAP– we have 21 students in our class thank you! Currently we have only a few snacks! Please remember we are a peanut free classroom- thank you. ***Special Thanks to Ali S’s mom– the kids were so excited for bananas for snack today!

1. Oakman Folder- sign and return behavior calendar for NOVEMBER!

**Check folders for SIGHT WORD TEST that students did today with me, if they did not test with me today, it will be Friday— BE READY!! I will do 5-6 students a day and send a slip home how they did after they take it with me! 

2. Reading bag- NEW BOOKS AND NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS— I, like, the, see, we,  go, can, she, a, at, is, was, will, he, has, on, in, and, you, and up. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* And work on using them correctly when speaking in COMPLETE SENTENCES for example: He (when talking about a boy) vs. She (when talking about a girl). And “on” like the book is “on the table.” ***NEW, I went “in” the door. The balloon is “up” in the sky.

3. READING GROUP BAG — please read and fill in reading logs each day!!! Read and Re-read for fluency books to be ready to WRITE about our reading– work on letter sounds!!! (Also can you login code and password to read/listen to more books on the computer)

Please fill in log each day!!! Please use the pointer finger to put their finger under the first letter of each word as they read. Please read the book at least 3 times and sign the paper inside their bags so I know they did their job! Please send the reading bag back to school each day. ***IF YOU HAVE FLUENCY DOWN, PARENTS PLEASE EXTEND the reading by asking questions such as:

• Find the WORD “the” on this page.
• What LETTER do you see at the beginning of the WORD?
• What LETTER do you see at the end of the WORD?
• After reading, can you RETELL what happened?? What happened in the beginning, middle, and end?

4. Math Homework-MODULE 2 LESSON 5  Homework page 173– (helper on page 171).

***Make sure all 4 things come back to school in backpacks!!!
