Quick reminder: volunteers are needed at 12:45 to help students get dressed into their costumes for our school parade at 1:00. After the parade, we will have our special Halloween snack and then play games do crafts until the end of the day. Parents are welcome to stay and help with the activities. Also thanks to those that sent in items for snack and games today– the kids are sooo excited!

Homework:
1. Folder- Math page (2 sides) Remember to color the SMALLER number! The maze on blue paper is an extra just for fun page!
2. Reading Bag activities 15 minutes— NEW BOOK!! MY Autumn Nature Walk, please read and discuss the word pattern, remember to help them point at each word when they read. THANK YOU!
3. Math Bag activities 10 minutes
please send in individually wrapped candy for our Halloween goodie bags students will get to take home..
please send your child with $1.00 to get a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch (we will do this in the morning so send students with money in the MORNING!– I will collect first thing!)
Volunteers please come at 12:45 to help change students into costume. During the parade, I will need some parents to stay to help prepare snack for us when we return. We already have pudding cups, cupcakes, and juice for snack so please ONLY send in items that can go in goodies bags.
After snack, we will do games/crafts until the end of the day. It would be SO HELPFUL to have parents stay to stay at centers and help students with the games and crafts!!!

Tonight’s homework:
1. Folder- sight word handwriting practice. Students should be able to read these words as well!
2. Reading bags activities 15 minutes each night, NEW BOOK we made today “My Five Senses”– practice pointing at the first letter when you read at home just like we do at school.
3. Math bag activities 10 minutes each night
reminders:
1. tomorrow from 9:15-10 volunteers can help prepare games for our party (check into office for a visitor pass)
2. Our Halloween parade and party begins at 1:00 if you would like to volunteer. Remember students are to bring their costumes in a bag and we will change into them around 1:00 to get ready for the parade and party 🙂
3. Please send in our bring items for party by Friday 9am so we know what we have for the party.

Today we got to SEE a large pumpkin. TOUCH the outside and inside of a pumpkin. We got to SMELL pumpkin (most said yucky!). We got to HEAR the pumpkin by knocking on it (it was quiet). Lastly, we got to TASTE pumpkin seeds (most said yummy-thumbs up!) we also tied in math by counting the seeds!!! Our pumpkin had 64 seeds!!

25 cents for each ticket!! On Friday, a ticket will be picked and you may get to take your favorite pumpkin home!!!
Tonight’s Homework:
1. Folder- math page with 10 frames (2 sides—do not cut, just WRITE the number to match the ten frame)
2. Reading Bag Activities-15 minutes (Practice those sight words!!!– many do not know “the”)
3. Math Bag- counting cubes for comparing, ten frames, and down on the farm game!
Reminders:
IMPORTANT TONIGHT! Meet the Candidates at 6pm Tuesday night in the gym. How will these people best represent your child on the School Board if elected? Two Oakman students as well as 3 Fordson students will moderate the Forum. This is open to the Public. Please attend if you are able!
