Homework & Reminders 5/12/14

Tonight’s Homework:

1. Folder- sight word practice and math page

2. Reading Bag- 20 minutes books, sight words, and MYON

3. Math- practice telling time

Reminders:

TOMORROW IS SCIENCE DAY/NIGHT!  We will be planting in the morning.  If you can help out, please come at 10am.  If you have small shovels, please send them in to help with planting.  Students need to DRESS for gardening and the weather.

Science night will begin at 4:00 TOMORROW.  It is a family event so please plan to stay with your child.

Homework & Reminders 5/11/15

Tonight’s Homework:

1. Folder- spelling words and 1-10 math practice

2. Reading Bag- NEW fiction books!! we are practicing character and setting.. after reading a book, as your child, “Who is the character?” and “Where is the setting?”

3. Math Bag- practice telling time with your yellow clock to the hour and half hour

Reminders:

Wednesday is LATE START.  It is also our science and planting day– make sure to dress appropriately.   We have science night after school beginning at 4:00.  Please plan to attend with your child.

This weekend’s homework:

1. Folder- addition and blends

2. Reading bag- 20 minutes EACH night of books, sight words, and MYON– color a flower each night you read 20 minutes

3. Math- practice telling time

Tonight’s Homework:

1. Folder- practice spelling test and how many more to make 10 homework

2. Reading Bag- informational books, sight words, and MYON– 20 minutes–> record by coloring one flower

3. Math Bag- practice telling time with yellow clock to the hour, like 12:00 and half hour, like 12:30

Reminders:

NWEA testing is scheduled for May 19th and 20th.  Please review NWEA goals and talk to your child about being prepared and ready for this test.

Tomorrow is last day to send in money for Carnations for mom.

2. Reading bags- informational books, sight words, and MYON– 20 minutes= 1 flower to color

3. Math bag- practice telling time to the hour and half hour with yellow clock

1. Folder- diagraph sort– use chart in reading bag to help with sounds!  review page and 5-4-3-2-1 Blast off!– the flowers page is the MAY READING LOG- color a flower each day to show that you have done AT LEASE 20 minutes of reading!

2. Reading Bag- informational books, sight words, and MYON– 20 minutes!

3. Math Bag- use counting cubes to practice addition and subtraction flash cards!
