Homework & Reminders 10-5-15

Tonight’s Homework:

  1. Folder- Letter Bb bag– find 3-5 items to share that begin with the b sound, like ball, butterfly, basket, etc.
  2. Reading Bag- read NEW book on feelings, sight words (the, to, he, and), writing names, ABC chart- please spend 15 minutes each night on this
  3. Math Bag- counting and writing 0-10

Reminders:

  1. Please send in a class snack for October.  We only have enough snack for a few more days.  Please send in your monthly snack soon.

Homework & Reminders 10/2/15

This weekends Homework:

  1. Folder- Math Numbers 1,2, & 3– complete the sheets and find a set of 1,2, & 3 to share at school.  For example, your child can bring 1 penny, 2 goldfish, & 3 stickers to share
  2. Reading Bag- sight words (the, to, and, he), look for these sight words in your books!, name puzzle and writing, and ABC chart
  3. Math bag- practice counting 0-10 and writing numbers 0-10

October Newsletter

What’s going on this month??! ALOT! More deatils will come soon about our first field tip and Halloween party and activities! 🙂

This month we will continue to focus on classroom expectations and good citizenship.  We will also be exploring using our 5 senses to learn about pumpkins and apples.  In reading, we will use Daily 5 to build stamina and independence to help your children become readers.  This month they will be put into reading groups and be given LEVELED books in their reading bags- please keep reading nightly at home. In math, we will be working with numbers 0-10 and in writing, we will be working on adding details to pictures to tell a story.  Please continue to help support what we are learning in school by doing homework with your child each night!

September Letters: Tt, Mm

October Letters: Bb, Ss, Pp, Ll

Math Numbers: 0-10, be able to count and write

Writing: write first and last name and draw people with details

We are planning a field trip to the Apple Orchard  on Monday, October 19th We are also planning a Kindergarten Halloween Party for Friday, October 30th at 1:45. (More details to come!) Let’s have a great month!

Please send in a class snack for October as soon a possible.

Homework & Reminders 10/1/15

Reminders:

Tonight’s homework:

  1. Folder- sight word he
  2. Reading bag- sight words (the, to, and, he), read the pictures, ABC chart and sounds— try out of order to see if they REALLY know ALL their letters/sounds, name puzzle, and writing names
  3. Math- bag- count 0-10, write numbers 0-10 on plastic paper with dry earse marker (in reading bag- they each have 1).

Reminders:

  1. Tomorrow there is popcorn for sale in the morning.  50 cents a bag, must be given to teacher by 9am.  Pizza sale after school.

  2. Reading Bag- practice sight words (the, to, and), read pictures in books/listen to reading, practice writing names, and ABC chart for letters/sounds— this sound be 15 minutes each night!
  3. Math Bag- practice counting cubes

Reminders:

School store today after school!

Please send in snacks for October for us to share as a class.  Even if you child brings snack from home, we ask that each family donate a snack a month for days your child does not have snack or forgets to bring it from home.  Healthy snacks include fruit, vegetables, yogurt, cheese sticks, crackers, etc.  (no chips or cookies please) Thank you.
