  1. Folder-Letter Vv, Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the v sound and put them in a bag for your child to share in class TOMORROW. (We are doing 2 letters a week now). Make sure your name/number is on the bag.

***Please  see paper that was sent home yesterday or TODAY (if they forgot their mail yesterday) n folders…  Students did a PRACTICE TEST with their book buddies today.  PLEASE practice at home each night so they are ready for their REAL TEST next week.

  1. Folder-Letter Vv bag-Today we talked about the letter Yy and its /y/ sound, like in yellow, yo-yo, and yak. etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the y sound and put them in a bag for your child to share in class TOMORROW.   2. ***MATH WORKBOOK PAGE p.69 (Parent Letter- read with your child) and p. 70 Counting 8 and 9 Activity to do at home… we will be working on numbers 8 and 9 in class this week so please review numbers 1-9 by having YOUR CHILD write each number on a piece of paper then have them draw a set of objects for (1-9) on another piece of paper… make it a game a match the number card to the picture card (Detailed directions for activity on p.70 in workbook)/

Homework & Reminders 12-6-16

  1. Folder-Kindergarten Timeline Project was sent home in folders today.

     

    Please use a photograph or picture in the box and include a sentence explaining what is going on in the picture using the sentence stems

    “In the past, I was ___________.”

    “In the present, I am ____________.”

    “In the future, I will _________.”

     

    *Please have your child practice sharing their timeline at home so they are prepared to share with the class.  We are working on talking in complete sentence so your child will be expected to read (say) all 3 sentences on their paper on their own.

    These projects will be due Monday, December 19th.  DO NOT SEND IN BEFORE THIS DATE.. Keep at home to practice the complete sentences so they are ready to SHARE on Monday, December 19th.

    Thank you for your assistance with this project.  Your child will need your help but please allow them to do as much as possible (they should do the cutting, gluing, and WRITING!)  ***They also need to practice speaking for sharing their project.***

Picture Retake Day is tomorrow at 9am in the gym. If your child wants to re take their picture, please make sure to return the complete package you were given by Lifetouch in October.
Forms are in the office to fill out before the child sees the photographer.
Children must tell the teacher they want to re-take their picture.
