Homework & Reminders 4-25-17

Tonight’s Homework:

  1. Folder- sign APRIL behavior calendar put math workbook page 233-234 completed in folder
  2. Reading Bag- practice DIGRAPHS— today we learned “ch” and did the digraph song (YOUTUBE) and sight words (NEW words this week: “boy” and “girl”)  ***Make sure you LISTEN TO READING on MYON for at least 20, top 3 students to have lunch with me at the end of APRIL!!!!! WINNER WIN BE DETERMINED THIS FRIDAY!!!  Please read the NEW books in reading bags as well!!!
  3. Math Bag- We are starting a new unit on MEASUREMENT and will focus on COMPARING WEIGHT this week… please read family letter on page 230 in math workbook do activity on page 231 and complete page 234-235 to put in your folder for me to check tomorrow
  4. Spelling Notebook– write vowels in blue and constants in red, ask your child, “Which words RHYME?”

Reminders:

ABSOLUTE LAST CALL!!! WE MUST PAY THE ZOO AHEAD OF TIME AND LET THEM KNOW WHO MANY STUDENTS AND ADULTS ARE COMING!!!
We need all zoo permission slips and money by tomorrow or your child will not be able to go on the field trip with us!

Starting tomorrow Kindergarten will dismiss from the playground like the rest of the school.  Students wioll have a stick with their name and they must put it in my cup when they see mom, dad, or older sibling.  Your cooperation with this is appreciated!!!

Wednesday: STEAM Museum in the gym. For students only.

Thursday:      Nutrition Class #2. Join us in the cafeteria at 8:50 am. If your child is overweight, underweight or diabetic you should be here!

Need Milk Cartons!

Image result for images of empty milk containersPlease send in empty milk cartons like the picture above as soon as possible.  We are working on our last Social Studies unit Public Discourse.  We are talking about keeping our Earth clean and we can do that by recycling and reusing materials to make something new.  My little artists will create bird feeders to welcome in Spring.  Please send them as soon as possible.

Homework & Reminders 4-21-17

This weekend’s homework:

  1. Folder- sign APRIL behavior calendar and SEE OUR ZOO FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIP—Return MONDAY WITH MONEY, especially if you would like to go with your child!!! $7.00 EACH for student and parent.— the zoo requires us to pay in advance of our trip so we must have money collected on MONDAY, APRIL 24th—thank you for your help with this!!
  2. Reading Bag- practice DIGRAPHS— today we learned “sh” and did the digraph song (YOUTUBE) and sight words (NEW words this week: “she” and “her”)  ***Make sure you LISTEN TO READING on MYON for at least 20, top 3 students to have lunch with me at the end of APRIL!!!!! Please read the NEW books in reading bags as well!!!  WE WILL BE DOING A SIGHT WORD ASSESSMENT NEXT WEEK SO PLEASE PRACTICE AND COMPLETE THE ORANGE SHEET SENT HOME IN FOLDERS TODAY.
  3. Math Bag- continue to work on number stories for addition and subtraction–-NWEA MATH WILL START ON MONDAY (she schedule in folders) the STARFALL.COM website has some fun games basic math skills– shapes, money, counting, etc.  ABCYA.COM also has some goo games based on grade level
  4. POEM BOOK- practice reading all poems and look for words that RHYME!

Bring back the permission slip for the zoo with $7, $14 if you are able to go with your child!  The field trip will be on MONDAY, MAY 1st but we must pay the zoo ahead of time.
