1. Folder— sign behavior calendar FOR NOVEMBER! sight word paper “said” AND letter Pp bag (2 homework assignments since we did not have any yesterday-thank you for your help with this!)

Letter Pp bag!

Today we talked about the letter Pp and its /p/ sound, like in popcorn, pig, pretzel Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the p sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class (Friday, November 10th ).  Thank you!

2. Reading Bag-Practice ALL 11 sight word cards including NEW word “said”–   All students also have gotten a black and white paper book from their READING GROUP… practice pointing to each word and READING THE WORDS in this book—they should be able to do it mostly on their own– please check in and monitor so they are practicing correctly!

3. Math Bag- NEW MATH WORKBOOK— finish unit 1 (up to page 13) by November 9th—that is about 1 PAGE EACH DAY– I will be checking tomorrow!!

Reminders:

Conferences start TONIGHT, please be ON TIME if you are scheduled.  Students with scheduled times TONIGHT have a reminder in their folder.

Conferences and Dismissal

This evening is the first night of Parent Teacher Conferences. These conferences are by appointment only. If you forgot your appointment time, please feel free to see me, call, or email.  There will be a reminder in your child’s folder TODAY if you conference appointment is TODAY.  (Next week I will send reminders for the other appointments).

It is at conferences where you will receive your child’s report card and look at recent assessments. 20 minutes is allotted for each conference appointment, please feel free to write down questions to ask during this time. It is not necessary for you to bring your child to conference. However, if there is a babysitting issue, please feel free. The main thing is that you are at your conference. Thank you!

Also, we are starting to line up on the yellow line (line #3)  at door #4 (same door as drop off) at 3:30. Thank you for your cooperation and support.  Yesterday everyone did great!  Please be on time for pick up (3:35)!!!!!

Letter Zz bag!

Today we talked about the letter Zz and its /z/ sound, like in zebra, zoo, etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the z sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class (Wednesday, November 8th ).  Thank you!

Our field trip to LEGO LAND is WEDNESDAY, November 8th (*Remember NO SCHOOL TOMORROW- Tuesday, November 7th).  We will leave on the bus at around 9:15.

Some things to remember:

We will be leaving school around 9:15.  ALL students will need to use the restroom before we get on the bus.  If you think your child, may have difficultly on the long bus ride, please send in a change of clothes.

ALL students and parents chaperons must pack a lunch and bring a drink.  Please pack it in a plastic/paper bag with NAME ON IT!  We will throw away after our lunch time.

Parents that are driving, will be able to follow the bus.

If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Rawson or Mrs. Fowler

We are looking forward to a fun and educational trip.

LEGO LAND FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIP AND MONEY IS DUE TOMORROW!!! (Friday, November 3rd)!!!  We must pay ahead of time for this trip and payment is due Friday, November 3rd!!!

TOMORROW Friday (11-3-17):- Half day – 11:45 dismissal -End of first card marking period .
