Homework 11-15-17

Letter Bb bag!

Today we talked about the letter Bb and its /b/ sound, like in ball, boy, banana etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the b sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Thursday, November 16th).  Thank you!

2. Reading Bag-Practice ALL 13 sight word cards including NEW word “up”–   Reading Group Book (black at white copy) fill out on READING LOG!

3. Math Bag- Math Workbook Unit 2 needs to be complete by December 22– Please continue doing a page each night!

TOMORROW will be PAJAMA DAY for Kindergarten (No school for K/Young 5’s on Friday).  No pillows, blankets, or stuffed animals please 🙂

There is a sign up sheet outside of the classroom for our feast!  Please let me know if you can bring in a chopped vegetable for vegetable broth for our SOUP!   The feast will be at 2:30 if you would like to join us!

Letter Ee bag!

Today we talked about the letter Ee and its /e/ sound, like Eagle, egg, elephant, etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the p sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class (Tuesday, November 40th ).  Thank you!

2. Reading Bag-Practice ALL 12 sight word cards including NEW word “for”–   All students also have gotten a black and white paper book from their READING GROUP… practice pointing to each word and READING THE WORDS in this book—they should be able to do it mostly on their own– please check in and monitor so they are practicing correctly!

3. Math Bag- NEW MATH WORKBOOK— finish unit 1 (up to page 13) by November 13th—that is about 1 PAGE EACH DAY– I will be checking tomorrow!!

Thursday will be PAJAMA DAY for Kindergarten (No school for K/Young 5’s on Friday).

Next Week Conference Nights are Wednesday and Thursday— I will send reminders home on Monday.

Next Week, KINDERGARTEN will have Pajama day on THURSDAY since there is NO SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTEN/YOUNG 5s on Friday, November 17.

Food Drive

Hello families!

We are collecting canned goods for families in need! Please begin bringing these in today. our class goal is to collect 100 cans/boxed dry foods!!! We have so much to be thankful for. Let’s help those who are in need. Thank you and God bless you for your help, concern, and generosity!

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears retelling activity and homework!

Today students watched the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and practiced retelling the story using the words:

First,…Next,…Then…After That,… Later,… Finally…

Please have them practice at home this weekend using the pictures in their bag–glue them onto the paper after the ORALLY (talking) tell you the story a few times.  This is an important part of learning language skills and comprehending stories that they listen to.  Thank you for your support and help at home!!!
