1. Folder— sign behavior calendar FOR  December!

Letter Uu bag!

Today we talked about the letter Uu and its /u/ sound, like in umbrella, under, unicorn etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the u sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Thursday, December 21st).  Thank you!

 

2. Reading Bag-

#1 Reading Group Books—most have 2 books to read tonight!! (black at white copy) fill out on READING LOG!  Some students have a new yellow log in their bags!

#2 Practice ALL 20 sight word cards including NEW word “me”

#3 Play Letter Name Game!   *Remember to make the SOUND for each letter as you play!!  Try to also name an object that BEGINS with that sound, For example… B—/B/—Ball.– they will be tested on naming an object for each sound!

3. Math Bag- Math Workbook Unit 2 needs to be complete by December 22– Please continue doing a page each night!  I will be checking orange workbooks ON WEDNESDAY– you can always do more!  I have some who had finished the entire book!

Please send in $5.00 for our holiday party and let me know if you are willing to help!

We are collecting NEW socks for those in NEED!!!  Last day to donate is Friday!

Our field trip will be rescheduled for after Winter Break… it will be Wednesday, January 24— it is FREE for parents and as long as your I-check is done you can come with us!!!  Hope you can join!

Instead of a holiday gift for me, please consider giving a gift to our classroom this year!  Thanks in advance for your kindness and thoughtfulness this holiday season!

  1. Dry erase markers (thin, black)
  2. Crayola crayons (24 box)
  3. Heavy-duty electric pencil sharpener (multiple families could give together?!?!)
  4. Sheet Protectors
  5. Tissues

1. Folder— sign behavior calendar FOR  December! Sight word paper for “me” AND 2 sided practice test over ALL sight words and ALL letter/sounds (on back!)—They will be tested next week!— some tested today, rest will be tested tomorrow!

Today we talked about the letter Qq and its /q/ sound, like in queen, quiet, quail etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the q sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, December 19th).  Thank you!

Need $5.00 and Volunteers by Wednesday! :)

Our class holiday party will be on Thursday, December 21st at 2:00 until dismissal.  It will be $5.00 per student as we will have pizza, juice, decorate a cookie, and make a craft.  We will also play a game and read a story.  I am looking for parents to help with this party!  Please let me know if you are interested in helping with cookie decorating, a craft, a game, or reading a book to the class by Wednesday. This is a special opportunity for parents to help in the classroom and I hope that you can attend!!

***These are the 3 JOBS they do EVERYDAY at READ TO SELF time and NEED to practice at home EACH NIGHT AS WELL FOR 15 MINUTES!  Please remember the OAKMAN READ TO HOME PLEDGE!!!
