Homework & Reminders 1-17-18
1. Folder— sign behavior calendar for JANUARY!– sight word “big” paper and geometry review for square on the back!
Long I WORD bag!— if you forgot today!!!
Today we talked about WORDS that have a long i sound like, pie, bike, dime, tire, bride etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that have the long i sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Thursday, January 18th). Thank you!
2. Reading Bag-
#1 Reading Group Books—all students got 1 NEW (black and white copy) reading group book and most groups kept 1 review book black and white books…fill out READING LOG for NEW book! Students have a new pink log in their folders! Other review leveled books (colored) were kept in bags for more practice 🙂
#2 Practice ALL 23 sight word cards including NEW word “big”— they should know these words quickly by sight— no more saying each letter—T-H-E—THE, now it should just be the word “the”!
3. Math Bag- Math Workbook Units 3 and 4 need to be completed before our February Break.– Please continue doing a page each night! This is also GOOD PRACTICE FOR NWEA MATH!!! We take our NWEA MATH test on January 26th.

Please send in a class snack for the month of January! (16 please)
Our field trip to the Hands Museum is rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 28th.

2 papers in folder for homework—-1. sight word dog paper, and 2 sided (FRONT and BACK) math paper to practice addition and subtraction– there will be addition and subtraction math problems on the NWEA test so please HELP your child if needed but make sure THEY DO THE HOMEWORK! 🙂
