Long U WORD bag!— if you didn’t bring today, tomorrow is last chance!!

Today we talked about WORDS that have a long u sound like, juice, blue, glue, cube, etc.  Please find 3-5 items at home that have the long u sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, January 23rd).  Thank you!

2. Reading Bag-

#1 Reading Group Books—fill out READING LOG for NEW book!  Students have a pink log in their folders!

#2 Practice ALL 25 sight word cards including NEW word “he.”  Have your child look for this word in books and talk to them about how to use it properly in a sentence (for a BOY).  Have them use the word in a sentence they come up with!

3. Math Bag- Math Workbook Units 3 and 4 need to be completed before our February Break.– Please continue doing a page each night!  This is also GOOD PRACTICE FOR NWEA MATH!!!  We take our NWEA MATH test on January 26th.

We need more black, thin dry erase markers, PLEASE! The Expo brand works best if you are able to donate to our class!

THIS Friday, January, 26 is a half day for the end of the marking period.

Long O WORD bag!

Today we talked about WORDS that have a long o sound like, hose, goat, boat, rose, globe etc.  Please find 3-5 items at home that have the long o sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Friday, January 19th).  Thank you!

 

2. Reading Bag-

#1 Reading Group Books—all students got 1 NEW (black and white copy) reading group book and most groups kept 1 review book black and white books…fill out READING LOG for NEW book!  Students have a new pink log in their folders!  Other review leveled books (colored) were kept in bags for more practice 🙂

NWEA Testing is next week! Be ready! *sample test questions on the bottom of link website*

Most of our students will be taking the Winter NWEA test next week. It is important that students are prepared, take their time and take this test seriously. This is an online assessment and will be administered completely on a computer. Below are some links that students can use to practice and familiarize themselves with the test format.
