We have two VERY exciting fundraisers going on right now at Oakman School!
The first in the prize baskets on display in the hallway. Students can purchase raffle tickets for 50 cents each and write their name on their ticket and put it in the bin they hope to win the basket/gift card for. Winners will be picked NEXT MONDAY, MARCH 26th at BINGO FOR BOOKS NIGHT AFTER SCHOOL!! <—Mark your calendars and please plan to attend this FREE event for March is reading Month!!! ***ALL students who attend will win a FREE book!!!!!!!!!!***
The second is for field day. It is around the corner (May 11th) and we need to raise some funds to support having one. We are asking that each grade level asks their students to bring in snacks to sell during lunch. 4th grade is starting this week and will help sell during lunch. ( possible snacks are chips, lollipops, Goldfish, Cheez-It, juice boxes, individually wrapped mini muffins…. etc)
Prices range from $.25 – $1.00. Our safeties will help run the snack stand in the cafe. Students are encouraged to eat their lunch first before buying the snacks.

Parents are encouraged to come check out the baskets after school and BUY tickets as well. Parents are also asked to send in snacks that we can sell at lunch to make money for field day!

1. Folder— sign behavior calendar for March! READ for 15 minutes each night!!!!! Math Homework in GREEN WORKBOOK HOMEWORK FOR LESSON 1 in workbook page 3.
Color your minion reading log! KEEP in FOLDER all WEEK to record your minutes on the back. If you read 15 minutes EACH NIGHT (Oakman Read at Home Pledge!) you will raffle tickets at the end of the week to be enter into a drawing to go to a SPECIAL MINION THEMED PARTY at the end of the month hosted by Mrs. McMahon.
*** Reading Group Books and sight words***—Minion reading log– 15 minutes!!! **And ABC chart (only for some)**
2. Reading Bag- Please read ALL books in your bag, especially your black and white reading group ones!!!!!!!!!
***Practice ALL 39 sight word cards including NEW word “an.” Students will be tested this week over ALL their sight words so make sure to practice!!!!
3. Math Bag– Practice using 100 chart to count to 100 by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s. Try without chart! Try in a song! Try writing numbers! (MIX IT UP! MAKE IT FUN!) Check out our new homemade rekenrek to add and subtract to 20.
4. Spelling Notebook- Rainbow words!
5. GREEN MATH WORKBOOK-Lesson 1 homework in workbook (page 3). Keep in workbook- do not rip out just complete, leave in workbook, and send back to school!

Conference papers were sent home with some students (this conference is by scheduled appointment made by teacher only). Please let me know on the paper if you need translation.
