1. Folder— sign behavior calendar for JUNE!!!!!!!!!!!! See handout on recommended summer activities from our school’s occupational therapist.

**FOLDER IS ONLY THING THAT NEEDS TO COME NEXT WEEK!! AND BACKPACKS PLEASE! 🙂

Fill in  reading log with at LEAST 15 minutes of reading (Oakman Read at home pledge).  This time should include reading group books and sight words!! **When students fill in their whole reading log, they earn a prize!!! 

2. Reading Bag& Math Bag-  Students got 3 NEW sight word s#61 —> orange, yellow and green.        ***They now have ALL of our cards to practice this summer for FIRST GRADE!**** DO NOT LOSE THESE!!! USE THEM OVER THE SUMMER!!!!

3. Orange and green math workbooks– can be completed for summer math practice.

Writing Books and Notebooks sent home today are a great way to keep writing this summer! Write each day about things you are doing over the summer!!

***Mark your calendar for our KINDERGARTEN CELEBRATION on Thursday, June 14th at 10:00!!!!****  Students will be release immediately after the celebration (Half day dismissal is 11:45)

Fill in new orange reading log with at LEAST 15 minutes of reading (Oakman Read at home pledge).  This time should include reading group books and sight words!! **When students fill in their whole reading log, they earn a prize!!! 

2. Reading Bag- Please read ALL books in your bag, especially reading group books!  Students got sight word #61 —> him.        ***We will be getting a new word each day to have ALL of our cards to practice this summer for FIRST GRADE!

3. Math Bag– Practice addition (put together) and subtraction (take away) with simple stories at home.

4. Spelling Notebook (This is our LAST week for spelling!)

***STUDY FOR TEST TOMORROW

  • Thursday: Fun Sentences!
    • Write a sentence using one spelling word in each sentence. Make sure to include Capitals, spaces and punctuation!

5. Green Math Workbook—NO NEW HOMEWORK ASSIGNED.   page 109 and 110 were assigned last night.  They go with lesson 27.  I will be checking all homework pages TOMORROW!

*Exact Path can be access through the LOGIN on student bags, just like MYON and MOBY MAX.  It is on the same page (at the bottom) —Use CLEVER!

*This is the RECOMMENDED ONLINE RESOURCE to help your child keep their learning through the summer, work on weak areas, and BE READY FOR NWEA in the Fall!!!

*We will be exploring how to access and use it next week in class and I hope you try to access at home!!!  Please let us know if you cannot login through the CLEVER portal using your child’s login and password.

Summer Birthday Celebrations…

If your child has a summer birthday and you would like to celebrate it before the end of the school year, please let me know what day you would like to celebrate it and we can arrange a time.  You may celebrate with goodie bags, cupcakes, pizza, ice cream, etc. but PLEASE speak to me so we can set a time and day that works with our crazy end of the year schedule.

Thank You Midwest Recycling!!

You may have noticed or even used the big blue bins in the school parking lot. We want to give a big shout-out to Midwest Recycling and all our families and neighbors who made donations of clothing. Oakman School was a leading school in collecting donations, therefore we were awarded a check by Midwest Recycling. Thank you Midwest Recycling for your supporting our students.

      • Write each spelling word using one color for consonants and another color for vowels. Repeat 2 times.

Important Change of Date!!!!

Tuesday, June 12th at 2:00 will now be the WHOLE SCHOOL FINAL CORE ASSEMBLY!  All parents are encouraged to come.  It will be in the gym.
