 Our chart for read to self expectations.   We started the story of units for lesson one in math today with talking about making pairs and matches using socks. It was really fun to do with both kindergarten classes in the music room and AC today!

We had a special snack of Popsicles again with Mrs. Fowler’s class outside.

Homework

1. Oakman Folder- Sign and return behavior calendar for September— parents please initial next to the circle for today (September 5th).   **Please complete the letter Tt bag and bring items that start with the /t/ sound to share tomorrow if you did not bring it back today!
2. Reading/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to “read” the early readers in your child’s bag.  Remember there are 3 ways to “read” a book!  Also, practice counting using the 100s chart (point to each number as you count).

4. Math- green workbook read page 3 together and then complete Lesson 1 page 5 in workbook don’t tear it out leave it in the workbook and return to school tomorrow.

5. ***For those familiar with CLEVER and our online learning tools, please use your child’s username (blue number) and password (red number on back of card) to begin using online learning… I have a link to ABCya games on my page (this is what we are using in class to start). ***

Step by Step directions will be sent home soon so students can begin using online learning tools as part of their homework time.

Reminders:

We need all school supplies by the end of the week and snack for the month please!

Also I am looking for some parent volunteers to help out with some beginning of the year organizing/small “jobs.”  If you are able to help out Friday afternoon (12:30-2:00) with a laminating project, please let me know.  Also if you cannot come in but are willing to help put sight word cards in order at home over the weekend, let me know!  Thanks in advance!!
